Baby Hair Falling Out

Question: I am the proud parent of a beautiful three-month old little girl. She was born with a full head of hair, however it is slowly disappearing. Is this normal or do I have a valid reason to become concern?

DR.PAUL: Baby hair is soft and it will change its texture to transitional hair and then to adult type/texture…so, between 3 and 4 months, baby’s hair may begin to fall out. This is usually perfectly normal, as the newborn hair is being shed to allow new, adult type hair to grow in.
