Question: My seven year old son is somewhat heavy for his age.His penis seems to be hidden like “inny” instead of an “outy”. His penis seems to always be retracted in. Is this a growth problem or is this due to weight gain?
DR.PAUL: A hidden penis “inny” is frequently seen in overweight boys as the fat actually hides it. If one retracts(pulls back) the fat and measures the actual penis shaft size it is usually normal, as are the testicles and subsequent pubertal development. If you are still concerned please discuss this with your doctor.
